Syracuse Habitat for Humanity, Inc. is the guest speaker at an environmental forum hosted by PENNY (People's Environmental Network of New York) to share the mission and goal of the ReStore, including it's environmental benefits for the Syracuse community.

March 2004
Syracuse Habitat purchases a warehouse on Otisco Street in Syracuse. 8,000 square feet of this building will house the ReStore.

February 2004
The Central New York Community Foundation makes the grant presentation at the monthly meeting of the Board of Directors. At this same meeting, the board members vote unanimously to approve the purchase of a warehouse on the Near West Side.

December 2003
CNY Community Foundation awards $15,000 from the John F. Marsellus Fund to assist in equipment purchases and building renovations for the ReStore.

April 2003
Development for the ReStore officially begins. An Americorps*VISTA position is secured to assist the Executive Director in the project.

2002 - 2003
Syracuse Habitat begins holding regular tag sales & occasional auctions of donated merchandise to raise funds for our building projects. These grow in popularity, and we are fortunate to see a large increase in donations from local businesses and individuals.
